Wood & Plants at the Aarhus Art Museum
Natural materials in combination with plants are a winner equation when it comes to interior design. Wood and plants is just a natural match. And the lastest pictures from the café at the Aarhus Art Museum prove my hypothesis. In my last blog post I wrote about the importance of rugs in a home. Today I want to highlight the importance of what lies underneath your rug – the flooring! When I moved almost two years ago, one fact was an absolute must on my list: wooden flooring. I have to admit, I do not have an apartment with long wooden planks, but I wish I could live one day in a home with wooden flooring by Danish brand Dinesen.
Four years ago I visited Dinesen’s beautiful showroom in Copenhagen – see it HERE. Ever since I have loved their beautiful wooden flooring solutions. But I am patiently waiting for the moment in my life to add those to my future home. Let’s see. In the meantime let us swoon over the beautiful design of the café in the Aarhus Art Museum. The iconic museum is widely known for its ‘Your rainbow panorama’ designed by artist Olafur Eliasson. However, the museum has a new gem to offer (the art aside, which is the true gem of the museum): the recently refurbished ‘Orangeriet’, a welcoming space for the museum’s guests to enjoy while visiting the museum.
