Starting a gallery wall with Juniqe
Moving into a new apartment comes with many challenges and home decor adventures. Once your furniture moved in and found its place, it is time to think of a few more decor details. One of them being a gallery wall. Hanging art in a brand new apartment can be somewhat scary. You know, deciding where to hang what and then hammering the first nail – can you hear the inner scream" Well, I went through all those angst phases but with a little help I managed to kick off my new gallery wall. Together with my go-to source for beautiful art, Juniqe, I started my new gallery wall in the living room.
One of my living room walls is painted in a dark grey shade (Down Pipe by Farrow & Ball if you wonder). I figured this would be a fabulous backdrop for plants and art. Leaning towards a darker, moody look, I went through many options on Juniqe and found three art prints to set the overall tone of the gallery wall. My overarching theme is nature. I wanted something to compliment my plants and the earthy colours of my apartment. I also wanted to start with three framed art prints. Three is a good number to start a little gallery wall. Depending on your preferences, you can go for a more streamlined look with equal sizes or for a mix & match approach. No surprise that I tend to prefer to latter, right"
