One Room Challenge // Week Three
We had spring break last week, so rather than heading to the beach like any normal person, we stayed & worked on the One Room Challenge instead! Last week I showed you the floor plan & the mood board filled with blues & whites. Well this week I wanted to share some of the neutral pieces that will be filling the space as well.
My main goals with my client's bedroom were to have it be light & bright, as well as a relaxing retreat away from their quickly approaching home renovation. With this being one of the only untouched areas in the renovation I wanted to also keep the feel of the home cohesive with the new design plans & existing furnishings throughout the rest of the home.
I choose to keep all of the major furniture pieces in neutral finishes or lighter wood tones to provide a beautiful backdrop for all of the blue accent pieces to jump off of. I will also be mixing a couple of metals in this space. The homes hardware will be an oil rubbed bronze, so I thought it important to carry this finish throughout the space within the drapery rod from Joss & Main & the Crystorama chandelier. Both of these pieces have beautiful crystal orbs to help bring a little more sparkle & elegance into the space. I am also bringing in some chrome accents.
