My Favourite Interior Design Trends for 2019
Putting together these “interior design trends” posts is something I truly look forward to each year. It’s a nice way for me to sit back and reflect on where design has been, and where I see it going in the coming months. And while, like always, my design style tends to land on the more classic and timeless side of things, and feel like the word trend isn’t my favourite, it’s still important to be aware of what’s happening around me. While I’m noticing a ton of interior design trends this year, from the resurgence of all things Art Deco, to the return of terrazzo, following are my personal favourites – the ones I plan on incorporating into projects of my own. PS: Check out my interior design trends post for 2018, 2017 & 2016. I hate to boast, but I feel like I nailed em’. BOLD MARBLES I’m seeing everything from jet black, to deep oranges, and beyond. And while I’m not certain you’ll see any orange marble countertops in my future, I am most definitely find myself drawn to bolder, more unique, slabs of marble, versus the subtle grey veins we’ve been seeing for years.
