Ivy’s Father of the Bride Nursery Inspiration
One thing I’ve always known for sure is my love for interior design. It runs through my veins, and has since the very beginning. I have such vivid memories of arranging and re-arranging my bedroom furniture as a child. And I often spend more time admiring the homes in movies than the plot of the movie itself (hi Nancy Meyers’ flicks. Those spaces" The DREAMIEST!!) So when it came time to designing the nursery for our baby girl, I knew right away that I wanted to evoke the feeling of one of my favourite childhood movies – the Father of the Bride nursery. While their nursery is of course just a smidge dated these days, the uber feminine, ultra classy, almost antique inspired space is one that has remained solidified in my mind since it’s unveiling when I was only six years old. And I knew right then that one day I’d love to create a similar space for my own growing family. Like any project I tackle, I first scoured Pinterest for all of (updated) visual inspiration.
