Hallway Decor: Making a statement entrance
The hallway is often a neglected space. Hardly considered a room, it is more of a transitional space. It leads you from one room to another. But quite often the hallway is also the entrance point to your home. Hence it is important to make a statement. Something like: Hello, welcome to my personal and stylish home. Kind of. Not long ago I added a fresh dash of color to my hallway (see HERE). This time I needed a nice little side table and lamp to add some visual punch and more light next to the entrance door. And I found just what I was looking for on a design webshop called Flinders. Let me show you!
In my hallway I have a vintage chair and I really liked pairing it with a glam brass side table like this one. Additionally, I opted for a beautiful design classic lamp – the Flower Pot lamp by &tradition in a dusky pink shade. I think the entrance is definitely making a chic statement now. The only thing I feel I am still missing is a sort of nice but sturdy rug. The kind of rug where you are not afraid of stepping on with dirty shoes from outside. If you have any tips, let me know!
Despite my determination to focus on my hallway, I couldn’t help but score two more pieces from Flinders. I found a big terracotta plant pot for my Ficus elastica variegata in the kitchen. Also, I found a beautiful linen chart print in ochre. I am still thinking of the best placement. Actually, I am thinking of replacing the hand print above my bed with this ochre print of ...
