Designer Tricks: A Behind The Scenes Peek at Designing a Powder Room
Design: Brooke Wagner Design | Photo: Ryan Garvin SHOP THE POST: I’m most definitely guilty of confessing this about most spaces*, but designing a powder room ranks high atop my list of favourite rooms to design. Because they’re a room that you don’t typically spend a ton of time in, you can really go all out when it comes to finishes, without worrying about whether or not you’ll tire of the scheme. I love that you can wallpaper the room from top to bottom, and it won’t break the bank. In addition, it’s one of the only spaces in your home that your guests are spending any time in alone, and I’m of the firm belief that they should be special for that reason alone. When it came to designing the powder room at #LLProjectColumbine, we were already blessed with a lovely existing wood vanity and simple brass faucet, which meant we simply had to have some fun with finishes.
