Ceramics made in Moscow: Fragile Things
Recently I traveled to Moscow twice. And as much as these trips were a real travel revelation to me, they were equally inspiring. Discovering Moscow as a city was magnificent already. But discovering Russian design and local makers was another level of pleasure for me. I have shared a few discoveries already here ? I showed you the restyling of a beautiful Moscow apartment with local design and a minimalistic tabletop styling with some Russian ceramics. And today I want to show you more about the ceramics and their maker Nadia. Meet Fragile Things!
I learned about Fragile Things Ceramics almost by coincidence. The owner of the aforementioned Moscow apartment discovered the pottery on a local arts and crafts market. He forwarded a picture to me as well as the Instagram account of Fragile Things. I was instantly in love! I started following and I put a visit to the studio on my travel list. During my second Moscow visit I headed over to Nadia?s studio.
Nadia is a very lovely personality who invites visitors to her studio which serves as both her work place and shop. She is open, smiling and loves to talk about her passion for clay and making ceramics. Talking with her proved one of my theories over again: Love and passion are the best teachers in life!
