Weekend Reading 1.10.21

The best thing I read today was ?what a long year this week has been??. it made me laugh. Woah what a surreal week with everything that happened at the Capitol. I?m still shocked by what happened and closely following that story.
We?re still hunkered down here in California, and the latest decision is the local lockdowns remain in place until February due to rising virus cases. I am trying to stay positive in these challenging times, and I am just hoping by spring thing start to improve. The one good thing about winter is cozy nights by the fire. I?ve been catching up on shows and movies I?ve missed or haven?t seen in years. I watched Before Sunrise with my daughter and The Da Vinci Code with my son, and both made me miss Europe so much! I?ve got my fingers crossed that we can travel outside the country by summer. :) Great news?.we?re in contract on a 2 bedroom, 2 bath fixer upper! It?s early and a lot can happen in escrow, but this one is scheduled to close in February and then I can get started on its renovation. I have a lot of design ideas, so if all goes well, I?ll share photos and of course the full remodel process as it happens!
Favorite links from the week:
