We had a fantastic graduation day yesterday filled with ceremonies and celebratory parties with all the parents saying the same thing, ?It feels like yesterday when they were in kindergarten.? There?s a saying I love that accurately describes parenting. ?The days are long but the years are short.?
I remember so many long days between when my kids were babies and now one is a high school graduate. There were a million responsibilities that filled those days and now it?s bittersweet to see them complete their schooling, knowing my daughter and all her friends are off on different journeys in the fall. I?m very excited for her future, but also feeling the imminent changes that will happen from her absence when she goes to university across the country.
I leave for Florida on Tuesday with several renovation projects waiting for me when I arrive. I?m excited to explore the area as well, there are so many cool places to visit along the Gulf Coast. New adventures are on the horizon! Favorite links from the week:
