Serene and Plant Filled Living Room
I can’t believe it but it’s been almost two years that I have been living in my apartment now. On one hand it feels like forever, on the other hand it feels crazy cause it’s not such a long time compared to my tiny, old rooftop apartment (where I had lived for 10 years). Still I felt it was about time to give my living room a little update. And I admit, there was just a perfect excuse to do so: my brand new handwoven rug from Tisca!
Do you remember my trip to Romania recently" I went there with a bunch of friends and fellow bloggers following an invitation of Tisca to discover their rug manufacturing in Transylvania (you can see and read about it HERE). Moreover, I was a pretty lucky bastard to be able to choose a new rug for my home. And I did so: I picked the stylish Barrio model in a natural off-white color. And wow, the rug is really a game changer. It transformed my living room from a very bohemian/nomadic style into a sleek Scandi-boho version. Don’t you agree"
So while the rug set the tone in the living room, I played around with some other furniture pieces and decorative items too. I exchanged the big mango wood coffee table for my Finn Juhl Tray coffee table and paired it with the Eames Occasional Table. I think this combination looks ace with the Tisca rug, my vintage Finn Juhl Diplomat chair and the leather sofa.
