Our home renovations are officially well under way and with all of the larger details sorted and settled I’m now able to set my sights on all of the finishing touches. There are, of course, countless details that go into designing a really beautiful space, but I’d argue that none are more important than lighting. It truly can make or break a space.

Not only does lighting give you an opportunity to play with texture, scale, shape, and material, which are all important design elements. But it’s also the best way to set the mood and the tone of a space (both in form and function). There are a number of luxury lighting companies I’ve turned to over the years, but Jamie Young Co. is a tried and true designer favourite across the board – and for very good reason. Their stuff is just beyond beautiful.
