No.5 is a project designed by Covet & Noir. “We love working with creative clients, it makes for a really fun and collaborative design process. On this particular project our clients had been travelling the world for the past decade touring & recording music and really wanted to set up a home base for the first time. Having travelled the world and stayed in countless beautiful hotels these clients? had a lot of style references but were confused about exactly how to translate this in to their new home. We worked closely with them to define our final brief to create a layered, zen space that they could retreat to, that would work in harmony with the architecture of the house.
Situated in an old Victorian hospital development the striking lateral space is punctuated by large sash windows, leading you through to the large open plan living space. Finished with white oak herringbone floors and soft white walls we created a neutral and warm palette on which we layered carefully curated iconic vintage pieces and one-off antiques. This was the perfect backdrop for introducing more contemporary pieces and carefully selected bespoke elements. We particularly loved the hand-crafted bar stools we commissioned to sit at the kitchen island. Expertly upholstered in a rich mustard velvet they added character to the modern kitchen.
