Interiors: Creating an Organic Sanctuary
Ever since I re-designed Jackson’s room I’ve had a little bit of jealousy – I’m in love with his room. So I decided to give our Master Bedroom a winter update that both Eric and I can retreat to that is cozy during these chillier months. I have always cared deeply about the linens on my bed. After all, we spend a good amount of time in bed in our lifetime. While the mattress is important, so too are the linens we choose to use on our beds. I prefer linens that are organic cotton or linen and cool to the touch.
I teamed up with Coyuchi (based here in SF) to show you how to create the perfect bed with organic bed linens. Coyuchi has been producing organic linens for the past 25 years. They were making them before it was a widely practiced alternative. Knowing where my linens are made and how they make them, gives me peace of mind. The products Coyuchi makes also add texture and a natural element to your bed. On my bed I wanted to have the linens create a calm retreat from my hectic life. I chose a neutral palette to counter my colorful life!
On the Bed
AÂ set of crisp white cotton sheets (always my favorite)
White organic blanket
Gray flannel duvet cover (the softest I?ve ever felt)
Charcoal blanket (for those extra cold night)
Charcoal alpaca pebble knit pillows (the knit of these is spectacular!)
